Our Mission

Mission

At DuPont Consulting, LLC, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment where diversity thrives, and belonging is our shared foundation.

Our mission is to guide organizations to cultivate a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) through an iterative practice practice that empowers us to create a more equitable world for ourselves, our clients, and the communities we serve. Together, we will build a future where everyone can thrive by celebrating their background or identity.

DEIB is not a one-time effort, but an ongoing journey that requires dedication, reflection, and adaptation.

Our Pledge

1

Celebrate Diversity

We celebrate the rich tapestry of backgrounds, cultures, and identities that make us who we are. We actively seek out diverse perspectives and experiences to enrich our work and decision-making processes.

2

Ensure Equity

We commit to providing fair and equal opportunities for all, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or abilities. Equity is at the core of everything we do, from hiring and promotions to client engagements and partnerships.

3

Foster Inclusion

We strive to create an environment where every team member and client feels valued, heard, and respected. We actively promote open communication and collaboration, ensuring that diverse voices are not only heard but also included in shaping our direction.

4

Cultivate Belonging

We believe that true inclusion goes beyond mere participation; it's about feeling like you belong. We work relentlessly to create a sense of belonging for every individual who walks through our doors, whether they are part of our team or a client seeking our guidance.

5

Embrace Iteration

We understand that the path to DEIB excellence is rocky, sometimes circuitous, and anything but linear. We commit to a continuous process of learning, improvement, and adaptation. We actively seek feedback, engage in self-reflection, and refine our practices to better serve our commitment to DEIB.

Services

DEI Consulting

This service includes advice for organizations on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within their workforce. It also analyzes policies, practices, and culture to recommend strategies for promoting a more inclusive environment that values all individuals regardless of their backgrounds, identities, or experiences.

Workshops

The interactive workshops are collaborative sessions where participants engage in hands-on activities, discussions, and group exercises to learn and apply new skills around diversity. These sessions promote active learning, idea exchange, and practical skill development, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

1-1 Executive Coaching

Personalized, confidential development process where I help you define your voice and amplify your impact enabling you to speak with a nuanced sophistication around concepts of DEI. These sessions enhance their leadership skills, impression management strategies, and overall performance by providing guidance, feedback, and support tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Inspiration

I find solace, inspiration, and affirmation in the liberatory pedagogical frameworks of Black Queer and Black Womanist writers and thinkers. Rather than reduce intersectionality to markers of difference, this approach allows us to identify ideologies and mechanics of oppression. I help others understand these social contexts by starting with the foundation that everybody has the same human rights, which can be demonstrated through rigorous research to be regularly violated by systematic injustices. I allow each participant to locate themselves our social matrix to adapt the approach for varying levels of understanding and engagement.

Leadership

As a leader and supervisor, I have found Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication (NVC) approach to be incredibly effective in my interactions with faculty and staff. By practicing empathy and active listening, I can better understand the needs and concerns of my team, and to communicate my own needs and expectations in a clear and respectful manner. NVC has helped me to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts, and to foster a culture of mutual respect and trust within my team. By using this approach, I have seen improvements in communication, collaboration, and overall productivity.
